Digital distribution on the Internet is the norm these days and it’s important your masters are prepared and tagged correctly.
As an option when Mastering, we can provide your mastered Audio tracks in a variety of formats, from basic MP3 through to HD "High Resolution" audio files.
Each file will be tagged with track names and ISRC Codes (if supplied), ready for you to distribute or upload to your website or agreggrator. We can also provide the correct versions to be passed on to your video editors if a film clip is being made.
Mastered for iTunes.
Disk-Edits is the first Mastering facility in South Australia to be approved by Apple as
a certified “Mastered for iTunes” Mastering facility.
We have integrated the iTunes Encoders into our mastering suite, enabling you to hear exactly how your files will sound in the iTunes Plus format.
The 'MFiT' format allows for tracks to be submitted as full resolution WAV files at 24bit (rather than the standard 16bit), but masters must be specifically created to Apple's specifications for this format. The new Apple encoders are designed to take the high-res files and create AAC files, which when listened to on a hi-fi sound system, should sound as good as the tracks played from an uncompressed 24bit master. There will be improved clarity, a wider dynamic range and less distortion.
