WHY MASTER AUDIO?

Mastering, What is it?

The actual Mastering process is where a "Glass Master" is made in the Compact Disc Plant and a Nickel Stamper or Die is made from that Glass Master. Your CD's are then "Molded" from that die using high pressure injection molding. There are lots of great information sites...you could search for "CD Stampers" to find out more about this part of the process.

So, What do we do in a "Mastering" session?

Pre Mastering is the final preparation stage. It is where your final production masters are assembled with the tracks in the correct order and spaced to create the finished project, for CD, Vinyl or cassette or web.

More importantly, this is the last stage where it is possible to bring out the best in your music. Good music (regardless of Genre), is music that makes you want to listen to it! If it sounds better, then ultimately it will sell better.

During the mastering process we will evaluate relative levels from track to track as well as overall loudness and tonal quality. Using our specialised tools in our purpose built monitoring environment, we will enhance the vitality and dynamic impact of your mixes.

Naturally, if you require just editing or song re-ordering, then our digital transfer and edit system will allow master preparation with total sonic transparency. Ensuring the only the best quality for your project.
